Assessors

Welcome to the FEN Assessors web space.

Our FREE Assessors webinar programme is aimed at Emergency nurses who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in assessing others in the ED.

It focusses on assessing students undertaking a FEN qualification and is designed to support assessors in this role.

Assessors will be given free online access to our webinar programme which consists of live monthly webinars held on the 3rd Thursday of the month with all previous recordings available.

If mentoring and assessing an AFEN/MFEN member developing their portfolio for accreditation, FEN assessors will need to meet the criteria required for competency sign off. Experience in assessing others is not necessary, as this programme is designed to equip you with the knowledge necessary to become competent in assessing others in practice. Following formal registration on the FEN assessors programme FEN assessors will be added to an Assessors email group, encouraged to attend and watch the webinars, support and mentor our AFEN/MFEN students and sign off their competencies as they develop a portfolio of practice in Emergency Nursing.

The timetable and details of upcoming live sessions held via Zoom on the 3rd Thursday of the month can be found below.
