FEN Board

Lead. Influence. Shape the Future.

The Faculty of Emergency Nursing (FEN) Board is the heart of our organisation — a dynamic team of dedicated emergency nurses who volunteer their time and expertise to drive forward the vision, growth, and impact of FEN. We’re proud to represent voices from across the UK and Ireland, with Board members bringing a wealth of clinical experience, leadership insight, and frontline knowledge from England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

Our Board also connects with key partners, including the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC), Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM), and the RCN Emergency Care Forum (ECF) — ensuring we stay firmly linked to the pulse of emergency care at national level.

As FEN grows — expanding our education programmes, developing qualifications, and meeting accreditation standards — we’ve opened exciting new opportunities for emergency nurses to get involved. You don’t need to be on the main Board to make an impact. Join one of our specialist groups:

  • Competency Board — Help shape, refine, and review our emergency nursing competencies.

  • Education Board — Contribute to the development of innovative, practice-focused educational content.

This is your chance to influence the future of emergency nursing.
Whether you’re passionate about education, professional standards, or clinical leadership — we want to hear from you.
